This research project was initially funded by the National Geographic Society and the Foundation for Science and Technology (Portugal, European Union). Its main research goal is to reconstruct the Holocene glacial and climatic history of College Fjord in south-central Alaska using glacial sedimentology and stratigraphy, tree-rings, pollen, and 14C dating.
